‘Just-in-time’ Useage of Mobile Phones

Pew Research Centre, the respected American research organisation have realised their latest findings on how people are using their mobiles to get information.

While the research is American based, the UK market is likely to reflect similar behaviour.

Interesting tidbits include

  • 30% used their phones to decide whether to visit a business or restaurant
  • 35% used their phones to solve an unexpected problem
  • 20% used information to lookup travel information or get directions
